At the end of March and beginning of April, the Farmet Company (Division of Technological Supplies) participated in the most prominent Central European agricultural fair in Brno – Techagro 2012. The fair takes place every other year and it is a prestigious event with a high professional credit. Leading global companies present their latest trends and technologies in the field of agriculture at the fair. Our stand was located in the pavilion of Renewable Resources (Biomass), right next to the main entrance. The favourable location of the stand, its attractive look and exhibits – the FL200 press and the FE100 Clever Max extruder – received a very positive response from farmers and producers of feedstuff. When realizing this stand, we used a graphic solution similar to the German Agritechnica Fair that helped us enter the consciousness of the wider public. Both domestic and foreign visitors were greatly interested in feedstuff extrusion as well as in low-capacity presses with accessories for the production of rapeseed oil as a fuel. This confirms the trend of “energetic self-sufficiency” due to the continuously increasing fuel prices and due to the planned abolishment of the so-called “Green Diesel” next year. Overall, we rate the fair very positively and we are expecting an increasing demand for both presses and extruders among domestic as well as foreign buyers.

This year in March, the Division of Technological Supplies participated in the prestigious agricultural fair in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, for the first time. The fair focuses on farmers, processors and dealers with agricultural equipment and commodities. Farmet presented itself with a very successful stand and namely with the demonstration of rapeseed pressing using the Farmer 10 pressing set. The pressing demonstration attracted many visitors, including farmers and oilseed processors, during the five days of the fair. Farmer 10 was selected for the demonstration of pressing based on the fact that the Bulgarian agriculture is split into small farmers for whom the equipment is primarily intended. The low-capacity presses were positively received by the visitors who appreciated their simplicity, functionality, operation efficiency as well as the reasonable selling price. The Bulgarian agriculture has been recently undergoing a significant modernisation with the support from European funds. The local processing technology is very obsolete and does not meet the strict food-processing standards. Thus a substantial part of the production is exported abroad and subsequently imported back in the form of final products. During the fair, we established contacts with several potential business partners and representatives of universities.

In the second half of February, our Company participated in the most prominent agricultural exhibition in Moldavia – Moldagrotech. The fair was co-financed by the European Subsidy Programme –Marketing III Project. The participation in this prestigious event was supported by our business partner, Axe Consulting SRL, who represents the division of Technological Supplies in Romania and Moldavia. The exhibition included the Farmer 10 Exhibit who was in operation for the entire duration of the exhibition and attracted many prospective buyers interested in small and medium-size presses. During the exhibition, we met with very interesting clients interested in the technological pressing and extrusion units. The negotiations are in progress and some of those clients have promised to come and visit the oncoming Techagro Fair that will take place on 31 March – 4 April in Brno. The exhibition was received very positively not only by many visitors, but also by the ministers of agriculture of Moldavia and Lithuania who were interested in oil plant pressing and feedstuff extrusion.

Very successful was the exhibition in Poznan, Poland, which took place on February 16 - 19, 2012. We exhibited several types of machines which are widely used by polish farmers and we also introduced three new 2012 products. Very high attendance at our exposition and favourable response from visitors confirms that Farmet belongs to one of favourite brands in Poland.
